Anything you would like to say about you or your projects?: I started AMAIDI Volunteering in India, the purpose obviously mentioned in the name, in July 2006 in India itself, where I live. I recently started The AMAIDI Foundation to help my Indian partners - where volunteers work - to raise funds. I'm now looking forward to exploit the Social Media to its fullest potential to achieve my targets in my two ventures.

A New Way To Engage Volunteers In Local Development in India

I'm running a volunteering agency called 'AMAIDI Volunteering in India', located near Pondicherry, South-India. Every year about 70 volunteers from all over the globe come and work in Indian organizations, mostly charitable Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs). Yes, we chalked out preparation of case studies, phamplet etc for using in fund rising campaign. He is very serious in the job and is trying to elicit funding support to us from Denmark. First up all we thank you for bringing in good volunteers like Laura and Mads. This week we sketched out the whole work plan. Since it was difficult to proceed without translation a translator was arranged. Already he has begun the job. Hope it is going to be very good products. Once again we thank you. M.Rajendran

We both agreed on that. Now he is doing pilot visit. Next week finalise the questionaire for the said purpose. From then on he will concentrate on -creation of case studies, fliers, phamplets etc..Now I am in Bangalore. I will ask him to send mail to you on Monday.

We don't get that response from other Asian volunteers. I wonder what makes the Chinese youngsters so special. Our very first Chinese volunteer - Ray Chang from Shanghai - immediately offered to become our very first foreign 'ambassador' in China. Kudos, Ray!
